Fake Allegations Against Dr. Rajan Mahtani Across Online Media, Press Released By Dr. Mahtani

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is considered as one of the most successful businessmen in Zambia. His companies such as Mahtani Group of Companies and Finsbury Investments have not only achieved success in business operations, but are also known to have transparent and ethical business practices. Dr. Mahtani himself promotes ethical business practices and boycotts corruption and unethical practices. As a result, Dr. Mahtani is often the target of scrupulous entities trying to ruin his reputation with fake allegations and negative campaigns.

While Dr. Rajan Mahtani has been ignoring most of these allegations and campaigns, there are some instances where intervention becomes extremely important. One such case which Dr. Mahtani faced sometime back was a social media post from Miriam Mwanawasa, daughter of late ex-President of Zambia Levy Mwanawasa. It was a surprising and suspicious Facebook post as it claimed that Dr. Rajan Mahtani wanted to inherit the land at Masaiti District which is owned by the Mwanawasa family. This Facebook post surprised everyone as Dr. Rajan Mahtani has maintained a long-lasting and transparent personal relationship with Levy Mwanawasa, and it goes way back even before Mwanawasa became the President of Zambia. As such, this post caught everyone’s attention.

Nevertheless, Dr. Rajan Mahtani decided expose this malicious post by sharing a press release. In this press statement, Dr. Rajan Mahtani said that he has maintained an extremely transparent personal relationship with the late-ex President of Zambia and during this friendship, he never mentioned to takeover the land at the Masaiti District. Dr. Rajan Mahtani also said that this allegation was made without any evidence or support. The Facebook post was therefore, declared malicious and ludicrous, intended to damage the reputation of a honest and straightforward businessman. Dr. Rajan Mahtani also said that he will be taking a strict action against this post as it resulted in several misunderstandings across his companies and stakeholders.
