Dr. Rajan Mahtani Speaks Up Against Malicious Social Media Content, Releases Press Statement

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is no doubt one of the most popular businessmen in Zambia. His reputation is all the more established due to his transparent and ethical business practices. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is known for his significant businesses such as Mahtani Group of Companies and Finsbury Investments. Despite having wide range of network and established professional and personal partnerships, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has always maintained a transparent networking practice.

Majority of the negative and defamatory news about Dr. Rajan Mahtani went through the same fate. Either these were straightforward rejected by the public or were found to be defamatory at later stages and were discarded. Many of these news channels and social media posts were also boycotted for their ludicrous posts. A recent defamatory and negative post related to Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani received the same fate. Miriam Mwanawasa, daughter of the late ex-President of Zambia Levy Mwanawasa, recently shares a Facebook post which was defamatory to Dr. Rajan Mahtani. In this Facebook post, Miriam claimed that Dr. Rajan Mahtani wanted to take over the farmland which is owned by the Mwanawasa family. This farmland is situated at the Masaiti district.

After this social media post started to make round in the internet, Dr. Rajan Mahtani and his legal team got hold of it. As such, Dr. Rajan Mahtani released a press statement in which he clearly mentioned that though he has maintained a long-standing professional relationship with the ex-Zambian president, he never made any intention or conversation of purchasing or owning the farmland. As such, this social media post shared by the daughter of the late ex-President was extremely defamatory, ludicrous and malicious. Dr. Rajan Mahtani said that he did not expect such malicious content from the family considering his professional relationship with the family even after the demise of the ex-Zambian President.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani also said that he will be taking strict legal actions against this unethical act.
