The ownership of Portland Cement Zambia has created constant trouble for the people of Ndola and the Government. A solution for the same was offered by Finsbury Investments in May 2015, when the company had requested the judicial system to liquidate the factory and settle everything. A copy of the same was also sent to the minority shareholders, Ital Terrazzo Limited to which no response has been received till date.
In return what the Italian Mafias have done is created dummy companies which are being used as a medium to transport the assets of the factory and steal whatever wealth is left in Portland Cement Zambia. Miloto Transport, a company formed by the Ventriglias currently possess about 43 trucks of the factory, whereas another dummy company by the name of Astrea Investments has the title deeds of the factory. The overall impact of the situation is such that it has become obvious that the Ventriglia family doesn’t wants to spare even a single brick for the actual owners of the factory.
On 19th May 2016, the Court claimed that the appeal to appoint an official Liquidator cannot be met because the ownership of the factory has remained in conflict. This has given the Ventriglia family with another chance to spread their carnage and continuously look for new opportunities to spread corruption and defame people like Dr. Rajan Mahtani. In the past few years, Zambia Reports has emerged as a clear supporter for the Ventriglias and they have proudly highlighted each of their fabricated articles. To the present date, Sakwiba Sikota remains loyal to the Italian Mafias as they had offered him free cement to build his mansion in the past. In midst of chaos, atleast there are some people who are operating with a view to build their personal wealth at the expense of betraying the motherland.
