Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is one of the most respected and successful businessman in Zambia. He is also known as one of the most down-to-earth and approachable personalities. He is one of those few businessmen and individuals in Zambia following the legacy and principles set by the first present of the Zambian nation, Kenneth Kaunda. Sadly, Kenneth Kaunda is no longer with us and on this sad event, Dr. Mahtani paid a tribute to Dr. Kaunda with a beautiful eulogy.
Entire Mahtani family and Zambia is saddened by the news of death of Kenneth Kaunda, Zambia’s favourite president. Kenneth Kaunda was known as the ‘Father of the nation’, Independence hero of Zambia as well as its first present. The life of Kenneth Kaunda can be termed as exemplary, principles as well as extremely difficult to rival. Only those with similar passion and dedication for their motherland can equal his principled life with exemplary achievements. Among them is Dr. Mahtani, who shares a deep dedication and passion for improvement of the Zambian nation. In fact, Dr. Kaunda’s bond with the Mahtani family goes way back to his father, late Lekhraj Mahtani who was a councillor from Ndola district. Late Lekhraj Mahtani provided instrumental support and collaborated with Dr. Kaunda in his quest towards Zambian independence. Both Dr. Kaunda and Dr. Mahtani have faced several allegations in their career and have been able to fight them with integrity and faith.
Dr. Kaunda has fought a great fight and have run the race. Dr. Kaunda has also kept utmost faith in the Zambian system, government and infrastructure. He deserves a good farewell, he deserved to rest in peace and he deserves a special place by the lord. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani and the Zambian nation is truly saddened with the loss of such as great leader, fighter and liberator of Zambian nation.
