Testimony From Justice Malila Confirms That 2012 Case Against Dr. Rajan Mahtani Was Influenced

Few months back, Supreme Court Judge Mumba Malila dropped a big surprise for the Zambian legal system as well as for the citizens of Zambia. According to the testimony, there is rampant corruption and unethical business practices in Zambia. His testimony also revealed the truth about the case of 2012 related to Dr. Rajan Mahtani. As per the testimony, the 2012 case wherein the judgment was given against Dr. Rajan Mahtani was politically motivated. Justice Mumba Malila also claimed that the case was motivated by several political undertones and was against the interests of the public policies. The testimony also revealed that as a result of the greed and corrupt behaviour of few politically powerful individuals, the entire legal system of the nation is compromised.

He is also known for his network and establishes international businesses and on several occasions, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has brought foreign investments that have significantly improved the economic conditions of the nation. Despite these significant contributions, Dr. Rajan Mahtani is often conspired by haters and jealous entities trying to profit from his losing reputation.

The testimony by Dr. Justice Mumba Malila clearly revealed that the corruption and unethical practices have penetrated into the Zambian society and the legal and governance system. There is an urgent need for the Zambian government to start looking into these corrupt practices and ensure that no one is able to take undue advantage of it. Only then the Zambian government system will be able to work for the betterment of the society and the economy.
