The New Year has brought a lot of new changes in Zambia. The good has prevailed and the bad has lost its power. Rajan Mahtani, the Zambian businessman, will now be determined to put aside the conspiracies in his name and focus upon a better tomorrow for the Luapula Province. The news about setting up a bio-ethanol plant was released in 2015, but as time passes, we are learning new facts with respect to the proposed development.
To begin with, the bio-ethanol plant is an undertaking by the Mahtani Group of Companies and the Sunbird Group, jointly. The total investment in the project is about USD 190 million along with a requirement of about 7000+ workers to execute the required operations. Additionally, the bio-plant would be using Cassava, a local crop, as its primary product and hence, the locals would also be required to engage themselves in farming of the aforesaid crop. Some 25000 farmers would be required to meet the requirement of the bio-ethanol plant.
Given the opportunities, the Finance Bank Zambia has also been sold to BancABC now, which means that the conspirators would have nothing to taunt at. Ever since, the news of FBZ’s takeover was published, the conspirators have constantly looked forward to find ways and claim that the same cannot be done or is unethical. This is mainly because if Rajan Mahtani is no longer associated with the Finance Bank, then 90% of the imaginative stories of the conspirators meet an automatic death. Zambia Reports has always troubled Dr. Mahtani with ridiculous claims with respect to the Finance Bank and after the bank is gone, they don’t have much to shout at. Therefore, on one hand, the New Year has brought prosperity to Rajan Mahtani and the conspirators have silently retreated with their defamation campaign.
