Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani Wins ‘Best Of Africa’ Award By Forbes

 

Noted businessman and philanthropist Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was recently awarded with one of the most important and cult awards in Africa. This award is presented by Forbes-FIN partnership and is known as the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards. Under this category, Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani has been awarded with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the year’ 2021 award for his significant contributions towards the financial sector. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was instrumental in redefining the banking sector of Zambia, a contribution that was ultimately recognised by Forbes at international level.

The Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards is a highly anticipated award category presented by Forbes and FIN partnership. The awards recognise and celebrate businessman, philanthropists, visionaries and leaders for their contributions towards philanthropic growth of the Zambian nation. The awards have high value as the awardees are selected after a rigorous selection process which includes months of verifications, background checks as well as interviewees of the potential awardees for understanding their leadership and philanthropic views.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani, who was also invited as a honorary speaker during the event, accepted the award virtually. He thanked almighty god for support and strength to cope with the constant challenges and roadblocks. Furthermore, Dr. Rajan Mahtani is also known for his charitable and philanthropic contributions. For instance, Dr. Mahtani founded the Prison Fellowship Zambia which is a program focussing on the welfare of the inmates and ex-inmates by provision of subsidies, opportunities to work as well as transparent criminal justice system. Furthermore, Dr. Rajan Mahtani also founded the Stephen Malama award, which comes with a scholarship and is given to top law graduates in Zambia.
