Dr. Rajan Mahtani Wins Major Forbes Philanthropy Award

Noted businessman and philanthropist Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is one of the winners of the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ award ceremony. It is one of the most prestigious and notable philanthropy awards in Zambia. The Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards is presented by Forbes which is one of the top business magazines across the globe. Forbes is known for several lists and rankings such as ranking of entrepreneurs, businesses, leaders, and other categories. Also, the selection process for the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ award winners is extremely rigorous yet transparent. The process comprises of months of verification process and background checking. This is followed by interviews and discussions with the potential awardees to understand their perceptions and views regarding philanthropy as a means to achieve long-term empowerment of the African nation. The award ceremony was part of the annual Forbes-FIN philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference which was held virtually. Members participated in this virtual roundtable conference from their respective locations. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was also invited in this event as an honorary speaker and discussed about the significance of leadership in healthcare.

In a similar fashion, Dr. Rajan Mahtani was selected for the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards. Forbes recognised the contributions made by Dr. Rajan Mahtani, especially towards redefining the banking sector of Zambia and conferred him with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2021. Dr. Mahtani has made several investments and contributions to Zambia over the past four decades. Dr. Mahtani has been working towards the growth and development of the Zambia nation. To achieve this, Dr. Mahtani worked towards developing his business and corporate contributions as well as his philanthropic contributions. As such, his contributions were finally recognized by Forbes with an award at an international level. Some of his top philanthropic contributions included Prison Fellowship Zambia as well as Stephen Malama award and scholarship for top law graduates in Zambia.
