Dr. Rajan Mahtani is a well-known businessman. He has remained a faithful citizen of Zambia for many decades during which has successfully established numerous organizations. Some of his most successful organizations include Mahtani Group of Industries and Finance Bank Zambia. Due to his transparent business activities, honesty and refusal to participate in illegal activities, he has been a target of conspiracies and defamation programs ever since. The constant defamation campaigns from Zambia Reports a few years back is known to almost everyone residing in Zambia. The notorious news website, suspected of being run by mafias, was regular in publishing defamatory news related to Dr. Mahtani and his companies. However, most of their news items were subsequently pronounced fake and as of now, Zambia reports is itself facing various criminal and defamation charges.
Over the course of his various business activities, Dr. Mahtani has kept a low profile. While he is not seen across lavish and controversial political or corporate parties, he is a regular at fundraisers programs and charitable events, especially those for the environmental protection and social and welfare development for the underprivileged. He has also participated in several events and has contributed to numerous NGOs and related welfare organizations. His contributions to the success of the 2017 Annual African Summit was revealed by the Press Secretary of the event himself. During one of the press release, the Press Secretary of the PFI (Prison Fellowship International) thanked Dr. Rajan Mahtani for his contributions to the event that eventually led to his success. Prior to that, almost no one was aware that one of the event’s attendees, Dr. Mahtani, donated for the entire event. He was also praised for his earthly attitude and friendly nature during the event.
