With the Finance Bank being merged into BancABC, the conspirators were clearly unable to sustain their defamation campaign. This is when the authors used their ‘imagination’ and came up with another amusing article which claims that Dr. Rajan Mahtani has been named in the Panama papers. This time Finsbury Investment is being used as the medium for defamation and the authors have made a desperate attempt to make sure that the claim looks realistic.
According to the shameful claim, the name of Finsbury Investment has been placed in the Panama Papers. However, the author has forgot to realize that the name is not patented by Dr. Mahtani and can be used by any concern. As per our finding, it has been discovered that the mentioned company belonged to Semely Conseil & Gestion. When we dig deeper into this issue, we find that the company was incorporated on 19/12/1996 and was struck off from the register on 19/08/1999. So, if it had been the case then how come PACRA has the name of Finsbury Investment as the official owner of Portland Cement Zambia.
The event clearly indicates that this is another cheap attempt by the conspirators to drag Dr. Rajan Mahtani’s attention away from the disputed Portland Cement Factory. Sakwiba Sikota is often regarded to be educated enough to understand these basic matters. But this time around he has managed to surprise everyone with this foolish behaviour. No doubt, the Ventriglia family is well-known to keep such lawyers for themselves who are clueless of the events surrounding them. This is not the first time that something this silly has been forced as a headline. In the last year, another lawyer of the Ventriglia family tried to force changes in PACRA’s register without obtaining an approval from the High Court.
The power of truth had won in the past, has won today and will continue to win in future as well.
